Colony Place of Plymouth will host its annual Princess Teddy Bear Tea fundraiser Feb. 27 and 28 to benefit Cranberry Hospice & Palliative Care programs at Jordan Hospital. The Teddy Bear Tea will be hosted by storybook princesses Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine and even Prince Charming, who will serve as waiters for the event. Children attending will be treated to a “How to walk and act like a princess” class from Maria Wood’s Fashion Focus, crafts, cookies, story time and prizes.
All children attending are encouraged to dress like a princess and to bring two teddy bears – one will be donated to children attending the Cranberry Hospice Bereavement Group or patients of the Palliative Care Program offered through Jordan Hospital.
Two teatimes are offered Saturday, Feb. 27: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, teatime is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Poise and Confidence class is scheduled for Saturday only.
The tea will be held in the Colony Place Event Room (next to Game Stop) at Commerce Way in Plymouth. The cost is $35 for adults and $15 for children, with adult admission including a $25 Colony Place gift card. Tickets are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Colony Place Management Office (next to DSW). Tickets are limited due to space restrictions so get your tickets early. There will be no space for walk-ins at the door.

Last year, Colony Place donated $1,000 and over 100 bears from the tea to Jordan Hospital. They hope to have equal if not greater success this year!
