Edaville USA
SOUTH CARVER – Bundle up the family and head on over to Edaville for some historic Christmas fun.
Passengers relax comfortably in warm and dry coaches while riding through a spectacular holiday setting featuring an explosion of lights during the Festival of Lights at Edaville. Kids of all ages can enjoy an array of vintage amusement rides and a visit with Santa in one of the indoor play areas. The Christmas Festival of Lights hours are from 4 to 9 p.m. weekdays and from 2 to 9 p.m. weekends Dec. 14-23, 25-30 and Jan. 1. Tickets are $18 adults and kids (ages 2-64) and $16 seniors. Children under age 2 are admitted free.
The Polar Express comes to life at Edaville to ring in the Christmas season. Inspired by the award-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg and the hit movie starring Tom Hanks, the Polar Express will transport pajama-clad passengers to the North Pole. There Santa will board the train and greet the children, each receiving their own jingle bell just as in the story. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served by costumed staff while guests enjoy a live reading and carols. The Polar Express train will run Dec. 24 and 31. The trains will leave at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Admission to the Polar Express trains is $30 per person with children under 2 years old free. Reservations are recommended for these trains as they generally sell out.
All park visitors this year will find many improvements including new rides, rides concentrated together for easier access, wider pathways, a new outdoor play area and an upgraded food service from Carver’s own Little Red Smokehouse. Visit edaville.com for details about hours, prices, tickets, directions and more. Tickets for events are available online or at the gate (quantities may be limited).
