The ninth annual Jennifer Kane Memorial golf tournament will be held at Indian Pond Country Club on Route 80 in Kingston. The tournament honors the 26-year-old accountant from West Plymouth who died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City. Foursomes for the tournament are already full, but the public is invited to attend the banquet. There will be a raffle as well as silent and live auctions. Concert by the Lindsays

Plymouth-based husband and wife Celtic duo Stephen and Susan Lindsay return to the Church of the Pilgrimage, 8 Town Square, Plymouth, at 8 p.m. for their fourth annual summer concert. The First Congregational Church of Rochester will be holding their 37th Annual Arts, Crafts and Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the church green.

Mayflower Sprint Triathlon

The third annual Mayflower Sprint Triathlon, a race for everyone from experienced to casual triathletes from all over New England and organized by Fast Forward Race Management, will be held today. It will start at 10 a.m. at the foot of the state boat ramp and end at Plymouth Rock. The point-to-point course, consisting of a 1/3-mile swim, 12-mile bike ride and 3-mile run, takes participants past all sorts of historic and scenic landscapes. The Old Colony Young Marines will hold a charity golf tournament at Atlantic Golf Club at 450 Little Sandy Pond Road, Plymouth. FPP Dog Walk

The Friends of the Plymouth Pound 19th annual Dog Walk will be held today in Morton Park in Plymouth. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Following the walk, join FPP volunteers at noon for lunch at the annual cookout, with lots of food, friends and fun. Our Troops Rock!

The Nathan Hale Veterans Outreach Centers of Plymouth and Middleborough invites the public to its second annual Our Troops Rock! concert, a tribute to 9/11. The concert aims to increase awareness of and commemorate the ninth anniversary the tragic day of the 9/11 attacks. In addition to the concert, there will be a candlelight tribute at 9:11 p.m. The event will be held from 3:05 to 9:11 p.m. at the Pilgrim Memorial State Park on Water Street in Plymouth. The concert is free to the public. Four bands have donated their time to the event: Boston and Bosco, Cheap Voova, Krush and TRAX with Emily. Concert features include vendors, heavy equipment provided by the Army National Guard, a raffle table, a banner in which patrons can send a message to troops in Iraq, and much more.

5K Walk for a Child

A benefit for foster children is scheduled today. Local citizens interested in contributing can come along the historic Plymouth waterfront and participate in the 5K Walk for a Child. This event will include the 5K walk/fun run, a delicious lunch, entertainment for children and adults, and a raffle. Money raised from this event will be used to fund extracurricular events, cultural activities, and social gatherings for children in foster care. A Kid’s Corner area will be devoted to fun activities for children. Pony rides will be offered from Ponies for Parties and the Plymouth fire department will be on site with some surprises. Face painting, spin art, bouncy house, activities for teens, entertainment and more will keep families entertained for hours. All are welcome to participate.
