The South Shore Folk Music Club welcomes Tesseract and The Rum Soaked Crooks on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 8 p.m. (Doors open at 7:30 p.m.) at The Beal House, of the Unitarian Church in Kingston. Tickets cost $10 for members and $12 for non members.
Tesseract, consisting of Joan Akin, Joanne Doherty and Mary Beth Soares, is well known for its rich vocal harmonies and skillful instrumental work. The repertoire covers a wide range consisting of original compositions, along with refreshing arrangements of traditional, nostalgic and contemporary songs.
The Rum Soaked Crooks - Tom Goux, Jacek Sulanowski and Dan Lanier - have been cruising the New England shoreline (and beyond) for the last three decades and have inflicted much musical and poetic damage with a pungent mix of sailors’ chanteys, ballads and ditties.
SSFMC is a non-profit organization that has been presenting a wide spectrum of acoustic music on the South Shore for 30 years.
