COMMUNITY CANDLELIGHT VIGIL: Memorial service consoles, comforts, reassures

They were some of the most reassuring words of the evening and, though they had a religious tone, they were decidedly nondenominational.

Free concert at Plymouth United Methodist Church

At 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20, the Paul Paoli Band from Long Island, N.Y., will be at the Plymouth United Methodist Church, located at 29 Carver Road, to present bluegrass, country and some Christian rock music. All are welcome.

Holocaust Memorial Day interfaith observance

The Plymouth community’s annual interfaith observance of Yom Ha-Shoah will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the Church of the Pilgrimage, located at 8 Town Square. The event will include readings from Holocaust literature and a special guest speaker, Albert Silverstein, who, during the Nazi occupation, was rescued from central Europe as a child in one of the trains in the Kindertransport.
