The MBTA and Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company announced that weekend commuter rail service will be restored on the Old Colony (Plymouth/Kingston and Middleborough/Lakeville branches) and Greenbush lines for the remainder of the 2011-2012 winter season beginning Saturday, Dec. 24.
Pilgrim's Progress will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, leaving the Mayflower Society House on Winslow Street and follow the traditional route with one police cruiser in the front of the procession and another at the rear. There will be no street closings for this event. National Day of Mourning participants will form at the top of Cole's Hill beginning at noon Nov. 24. The march will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Plymouth police have issued the following advisory regarding traffic and parking restrictions for Saturday, Nov. 19, as a result of the America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration parade and other festivities and events.
The Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail advises Plymouth/Kingston residents who use the Greenbush and Old Colony Line that due to the ongoing track work there will be no commuter rail service provided Memorial Day, Monday, May 30.

From June 1 to 25, Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company will continue essential track work on the Old Colony Line between the Plymouth, Kingston and Halifax stations to remove concrete ties and replace them with wood ties. The track work will be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday to minimize customer delay. During this time, customers can expect delays of up to 25 minutes. Replacement bus service will be provided between the three stations for the following trains.
BOURNE – The last phase of the Sagamore Bridge work repairs in Bourne was completed May 13, according to officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District. All four lanes of traffic are now fully open again for traffic coming onto and going off of Cape Cod.
If you're traveling to or from Plymouth to the Cape, the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce reminds drivers to plan ahead when traveling on or off the Cape via the Sagamore Bridge during the early spring construction phase, which is expected to be completed before Memorial Day weekend.
Deck repairs and paving on the Sagamore Bridge, spanning the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne, are scheduled through the fall, as long as weather permits. The two-phase project will resume in the spring, as soon as the weather allows.
