PLYMOUTH – Start the New Year off right by gathering with friends and neighbors at Ellisville Harbor State Park to cement resolutions for good health and exercise as well as enjoy some time outdoors in the winter. From noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, enjoy a hike along the Ruth Walker Trail with winter views of Cape Cod Bay and Ellisville Harbor marsh. Hopefully see some seals which often haul out during times of low tide. After the hike, warm up at the Wing House with some hot chocolate and treats. The hike will start promptly at noon from the parking lot on Route 3A in Plymouth. The event is free and appropriate for families. Dress in layers for the weather and wear winter boots. For information or in the case of inclement weather, call 508-888-0351 or visit www.mass.gov/dcr. For park information and directions, visit www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/southeast/ells.htm.
