For 100 years, the Plymouth County Sheriff has operated a farm on Obery Street. Sheriff Henry Porter started working the land in 1910 and, though times have changed, the farm is a vibrant, full-time agricultural resource.
Today, Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. invites you and your family to visit the free Petting Zoo and shop at the year-round Horticultural Center. Pack a snack and use the convenient picnic tables for lunch or a special get together.
The hours of operation fluctuate, so it’s best to call ahead: 508-830-6810.
Directions: You’ll find the Obery Street farm off Route 3, Exit 5, in Plymouth.
From Cape Cod: Take Exit 5 and bear right at the end of the ramp. Take your first right onto Obery Street and the Petting Zoo is on the right.
From Boston: Take Exit 5, go left at the end of the ramp, pass under the highway and take your first right onto Obery Street. The Petting Zoo is on the right.
