The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department is celebrating the spring season with a Mother’s Day festival this Saturday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The public is invited to visit the greenhouses and Petting Zoo every day, but a nice gift of flowers or a free day of entertainment for the kids might be just what Mom needs.

The Obery Street farm, located off Route 3, exit 5, will feature the following events:

Birds of Prey Show at 11a.m.

K-9 Demonstration at 12:15 p.m.

Walking Tour at 1 p.m.

Fingerprinting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Information on 4H and thoroughbred adoption from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first 300 children will receive nylon backpacks with the classic farm logo. Visitors will also notice a new addition to the farm this spring, an indoor/outdoor fish pond.
