It was a great day at Village Links August 19 as 65 youngsters teed it up in the Plymouth Junior Open. When the event was over there were a great many smiling faces as the golfers enjoyed their lunch. Head Professional David Moore and owner Charlie Carranci should be thanked for allowing these young golfers the use of the course. Without people like this, junior golf would not flourish here in Plymouth.

Plymouth Gem:

Received an invitation from my former golfing partner John Carney to play Plymouth Country Club Friday, August 21 and it was a wondrous day. The course was in excellent condition thanks to the efforts of the Superintendent Warren Weldon and his assistant Ben Whiting. Playing with old buddies Carl Meier and Bill Leonard the Plymouth gem gives you all you can handle.

This Donald Ross pearl is one of the best courses in the area and with the new club house it offers its members a tremendous venue to play golf. If you are thinking of joining a private course for the 2010 season you could not go wrong at Plymouth. Call now and get your name on the waiting list-you will love it. By the way-stay out of the rough!
