Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth will hold its annual celebration at 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, at The Pinehills Golf Club.
The sixth annual British Beer Company golf tournament will be held Wednesday, May 9, at the Atlantic Country Club in Plymouth. The shotgun start will be at 1 p.m. with a scramble format.
Plymouth North junior golf standout Jack McDonald went to the absolute limit in his bid to win the recent Division 2 state championship. McDonald tied for first in the title round with two other players, before the score was settled in the extra session in favor of Masconomet Regional High’sCharlie May. McDonald bogeyed in the decisive strokes, while May birdied.
Having driven 1,500 miles to Ft. Myers, Fla. 12 days ago I was greeted by nothing but rain and muddy conditions on my home course. Not too bright. I should have stayed in 85 degree Plymouth.
The Plymouth North Athletic Booster Club annual golf tournament is set for Sunday, Oct. 9, at Squirrel Run Country Club.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth will hold its 11th annual golf tournament Saturday, Oct. 22, at Southers Marsh Golf Club in West Plymouth.

This year’s Fall Classic turned out to be one for all the ages. “The flight shootout was as exciting as has ever been played here at White Cliffs,” said Head Professional Rick Baptist. “The six men’s playoff teams showed some outstanding shot-making, despite the pressure of having a record crowd observing all the action. This Fall Classic was certainly dramatic and memorable.”
The 2011 Plymouth Junior Open was held at Village Links Golf Club Thursday, August 18 with 54 players putting the ball in the air. Golfers played the great course, enjoyed a hot dog and soda and competed for prizes all for $10. Head Professional David Moore and the Caranci Family should get a tip of the hat for their generosity.
