PLYMOUTH —

Everyone knows what a challenge finding a parking spot can be. Either you don’t have correct change or the spot you find is too far away from where you’re going. Luckily, Plymouth has all sorts of options to fill your parking desires. Want a short-term space in exchange for a few quarters? An all-day spot while you’re out spotting whales? Feeling lucky? You might even snag one of the sought-after free spaces known only to locals (until now, that is).

Parking for the public is available in the locations listed below and is enforced as posted on signs and meters and in lots. You can also check out this map to see where they're located.

Downtown parking:

Two hours free limited parking along Summer Street, Main Street Extension, Main Street and Court Street. Four-hour maximum parking at coin-operated meters on several of the side streets.

Extended downtown parking (10-hour maximum):

In the Main Street Extension, Middle Street (one part) and Brewster Street lots there are coin-operated meters. In the Market Street, Middle Street (another part) and North Street lots, there are machines that accept coins and/or bills for parking.
