Plymouth Council on Aging watercolor exhibit
The talented watercolor artists display their creations at the library Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Otto Fehlow Meeting Room. This event is open to the public.
Summer Solstice book and yard sale
The library will host its annual book and yard sale Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Choose from a wide variety of books, DVDs and videos. Donations of books and DVDs in good condition will be accepted at the main library Mondays through Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be children’s activities and a food tent.
You can rent a space to have your own 10-by-10-foot space to have your own yard sale on the library grounds. Cost is $20. Registration forms are available at the main library or at the Manomet branch.
Starship Adventure summer reading program
Children of all ages and their families are invited to register for the summer reading program. The program finale will take place on the front lawn, with DJ Gailius, on Satuday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. with music dancing and prizes.
Bill Luzader, director of the Blake Planetarium and the South Shore Astronomical Society of Norwell, will be on hand Monday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. with telescopes for a stargazing event.
Visit with Maestro Steven Karidoyanes and hear about the Plymouth Philharmonic’s 94th season lineup Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the program.
The 10th annual Concerts on the Lawn at the Plymouth Public Library takes place Thursdays at 1 p.m. on the library lawn (or in case of inclement weather, in the Otto Fehlow Meeting Room). Concertgoers should take a blanket or lawn chair and sunscreen.
July 9 – Jake Hill and the Merry Makers. Embrace the folk scene.
