Through November the Jenney Grist Mill, in conjunction with A.D. Makepeace of Wareham, will present a new exhibit, “The Story of the Cranberry & Corn Harvests.”

When and how do they harvest a cranberry? What does a bog look like? Where can I see a bog? How do you cranberries grow? When do they harvest them? Do you have questions about corn? How many varieties are there? How important was corn to the Pilgrim’s? How did they grind corn? What can I make with it?

Visit the Jenney Grist Mill this fall and discover the answers to these questions and more. Tours are given by a costumed miller. Children accompanied by an adult will be admitted free compliments of our sponsors, Entergy, Eastern Bank, PartyLite of Plymouth, and Mill Stone Creamery.

The A.D. Makepeace Company, based in Wareham, is the world’s largest cranberry grower, the largest private property owner in eastern Massachusetts, and a recognized leader in environmentally responsible real estate development and land stewardship.
