Bayside Runner, Brooks Running and the Jenney Grist Mill announce a fun summer 5K road race, run and walk to support the work of the Jenney Grist Mill. The Jenney Grist Mill 5K starts and ends at the historic Jenney Grist Mill and goes through the scenic Morton Park, in Plymouth.The race will take place Saturday, June 26, and starts at 11 a.m. at 6 Spring Lane, Plymouth.
The Jenney Grist Mill will be open for school vacation from Dec. 27 to Jan. 3. Admission is free. Bring the family and enjoy an ice cream or a corn muffin, cider, coffee or hot chocolate while sitting in the most historic mill in our country.
Through November the Jenney Grist Mill, in conjunction with A.D. Makepeace of Wareham, will present a new exhibit, “The Story of the Cranberry & Corn Harvests.”
One of the main reasons the Pilgrims decided to locate in Plymouth is the waterway that is referred to today as Town Brook. Town Brook is a small river that runs through the center of Plymouth for a mile and a half, and empties into the harbor next to Plymouth Rock.
