Project Gurnet and Bug Lights Inc. will provide free shuttles to the Gurnet for tours of the historic lighthouse later this month.
The tours of Gurnet Light and Fort Andrew will coincide with the Duxbury’s May 29 Opening of the Bay activities. Shuttles will leave from the Duxbury Bay Maritime School from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Visitors to the lighthouse and the earthen fort at the end of Gurnet Point will be invited to climb to the top of the lighthouse for breathtaking views of Massachusetts Bay. The tour will include the Life-Saving Station, with its rescue boat and all the equipment, as it was in 1960.
