Golfing enthusiasts will gather Thursday, July 22, to join healthcare investment bank Leerink Swann to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay by raising money for the healthy development of children through friendships with caring, responsible adults. This year, more than 175 golfers will enjoy the links at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth.

It was a great day at Village Links August 19 as 65 youngsters teed it up in the Plymouth Junior Open. When the event was over there were a great many smiling faces as the golfers enjoyed their lunch. Head Professional David Moore and owner Charlie Carranci should be thanked for allowing these young golfers the use of the course. Without people like this, junior golf would not flourish here in Plymouth.
BJ’s Wholesale Club announced this week that its annual charity golf tournament, which has raised nearly $5 million in the past four years, will have both a new venue and format. BJ’s Charity Pro-am (formerly known as BJ’s Charity Championship) is a one-day, 18-hole event with members of The Legends Tour, the Official Legends Tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) held Wednesday, September 9, at the Pinehills Golf Club. Some of the most recognizable names in the history of women’s golf will be playing with teams but competing individually in stroke play (medal play) for a $100,000 purse.
