PLYMOUTH —

The second annual Hats Off to the Arts gala and fundraiser will be held Friday, June 26, at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, at 11 North St. Each year hats are tipped to a different art form. This year’s theme is a Salute to Film. Nancy Sealey, Nancy Markley and Deborah Calvert, co-chairmen of the committee, have announced that singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor and the Plimoth Cinema team of Charlotte and Ed Russell and Anne Phelan will be the honorary chairmen of the event.

Party-goers will be immersed in the world of film. Walk the red carpet in a creative hat; dance to the sounds of Stage Door Canteen; enjoy edible delights by Simply Divine; listen to the tunes of Richard and Jodi Mulcahy; raise a toast in Rick’s All American Café; bid on auction items; and catch clips of your favorite films in the grand Russell Gallery.

The doors open to Hats Off to the Arts: A Salute to Film at 7 p.m. Early arrivals will have the first choice among scores of the exquisitely framed “2009 Miniatures” for their collection. These original small art works by many of the area’s top artists will be sold for $45. For more information, call the Center for the Arts at 508-746-7222.
